Our mission is to provide partners with high return investment opportunities in thoroughly screened and well managed start-up or early-stage businesses. We are different to other investment companies in that:

• We will not ask anyone to invest in any venture in which Flaxlands Management does not invest at the same time.
• We do not invest in any company in which we do not play a significant part in the management structure. You invest in us as well as the company.
• We do not charge fees or take a commission on any money we raise for partner companies. Our efforts are entirely rewarded through increasing the value of the equity stake we have in the company.

Additionally, all our partner companies agree to a very conservative equity valuation formulae and have a clearly defined exit strategy.

Investments will normally be relatively small amounts (£25-50,000) and take the form of part equity purchase, and part debt. Before we approach any investor, we will be so confident in the business model and management team, that we will be prepared to act as a secondary guarantor to any loan element of the investment.

We take the partnership aspect of our relationship very seriously. We don’t ask our partners to do anything we wouldn’t do ourselves.
